Meet your expert

Hi, I'm Matthew Clark.

Software engineer and computer repair technician since 2012 — with a decade of experience and a genuine soft spot for teaching.

I've spent my career around technology, but the part I've always enjoyed most is the moment someone stops being afraid of it. Watching a person go from “I could never do that” to doing it themselves, unprompted, is the best part of this job.

I started Clark At Home I.T. because I kept hearing the same story from older neighbors: the tech person rushed them, used words they didn't know, fixed the thing without explaining it, and left. Some had been sold software they didn't need. A few had been scammed by someone claiming to be tech support.

That's not help. That's just a bill and a bad feeling.

So I built the opposite. I come to your home. I use everyday words. I go at your pace, and I'm glad to explain the same thing twice. I don't leave until you can do it yourself — and I give you my number so you're never stuck again.

How we work

Four promises we actually keep

Plain English, always

No jargon, no acronyms, no talking over your head. If you don't understand something I said, that's my fault and I'll say it a better way.

On time, or you'll hear from me

I arrive within 15 minutes of the time I promised, and I call ahead if traffic gets in the way. Your afternoon is not something to be wasted.

No surprise bills, ever

You know the price before I start. If a job is going to run past the hour, I stop and ask you first — every time, without exception.

I'll tell you when you don't need me

If your problem takes five minutes on the phone, I'll just fix it on the phone. If you don't need a membership, I'll say so. Trust is the whole business.

A note on safety

How you'll always know it's really me

Scammers impersonate tech-support companies constantly, so it's worth being clear about how we behave — and how we never behave.

We will never

  • Call you out of the blue saying your computer has a virus
  • Ask for your password, a verification code, or your card number over the phone
  • Ask to connect to your computer unless you called us and approve it on your own screen
  • Ask to be paid in gift cards, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency
  • Pressure you to decide anything on the spot

If anyone claiming to be from Clark At Home I.T. does any of those things, it isn't us. Hang up, and call our real number: (480) 980-1844.
