Privacy Policy
The short version: we collect only what we need to help you, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
What we collect
When you contact us
Your name, phone number, email address, city, and whatever you choose to tell us about your situation. That's it. We use it to call or email you back and to schedule your visit.
When you become a client
Your service address, the devices we worked on, what we did, and any notes needed to help you well next time (for example, which antivirus is installed and when it renews). Members also have a record of their installed protection and renewal dates.
When you pay us
Payments are processed by Square. We never see or store your full card number. Square handles the card data directly and is responsible for its security.
When you confirm an appointment
To create a valid record of consent, our confirmation page records your name, appointment details, the version of the terms you agreed to, a date-and-time stamp, your browser type, and your IP address. This is kept as proof of agreement and used for no other purpose.
When you visit this website
This site does not use advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, page requested, time) for security and abuse prevention, which are deleted on their normal schedule.
What we never do
- We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. Ever.
- We do not share your information with your family members without your permission.
- We do not use your information to market unrelated products to you.
- We cannot see the contents of your password vault — it is encrypted so that only you and a trusted person you designate can read it.
Who we share information with
Only the service providers required to actually deliver the service — for example the payment processor that bills your membership, the security software vendors whose products protect your devices, the scheduling system that books your appointment, and the email provider that sends your receipts. Each receives only what it needs, and none of them are permitted to use your information for their own marketing.
We will also disclose information if we are legally required to, or if it is necessary to protect someone from imminent harm or fraud.
How long we keep it
Client service records are kept for as long as you are a client and for up to seven years afterwards, which is the period we may need them for tax, warranty, and legal purposes. Enquiries that never became appointments are deleted within about a year. Consent records are kept for as long as they may be needed as evidence of agreement.
How we protect it
Client records are stored in access-controlled accounts protected by strong, unique passwords and two-step verification. This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We keep the number of places your information lives deliberately small, because the safest data is the data we never copied in the first place.
Your choices
You may ask us at any time to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete your records (except where we are legally required to keep them). Just call or email — there is no form to fill in and no charge.
If you'd rather we didn't keep notes about your setup between visits, tell us and we won't.
Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above and, for anything material, tell active clients by email.
